Kirkcaldy Patterns is a new collection of work by Frances
Priest responding to the manufacturing heritage of the Scottish Town of
Kirkcaldy, once renowned for linoleum and ceramic manufacturing. The
motifs in these collections are drawn directly from industry pattern
books and original examples, re-interpreted as playful sculptural
compositions in ceramic.


The first, and largest, collection is now in the new Edinburgh
Haematology Centre at The Western General Hospital, commissioned by
Round Table Projects.  This is a smaller collection created for Cavaliero Finn
