ARTEFACT: The Contemporary Craft Fair
Cavaliero Finn is delighted to be returning to Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour in London from 22nd to 29th June for Artefact, (DCCH) a brand new contemporary craft fair that looks set to become an exciting addition to the gallery’s annual programme of events.
Attracting top designers, architects, collectors and art lovers, Artefact will feature an impressive roll call of contemporary craft and visual arts galleries including; Oxford Ceramics, Katie Jones, Lloyd Choi Gallery, Cube Gallery, Cynthia Corbett Gallery, Ruup & Form and not forgetting our Crafting a Difference team of galleries, jaggedart, MADEINBRITALY, Ting Ying Gallery and Vessel Gallery.
Cavaliero Finn will present work from twelve artists from its portfolio including; Ashraf Hanna, Akiko Hirai, Björk Haraldsdóttir, Cecilia Moore, Caron Penney, Frances Priest, Hannah Tounsend, Katharine Swailes, Matthew Chambers, Mimi Joung, Nicholas Lees and Soledad Christie.
Artefact will take place in the Design Avenue at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. It is an architectural space of breathtaking scale and proportion, with its dizzyingly high, four-storey, glass ceiling which showers the space with an abundance of natural light. After months of not being able to visit art fairs in person, we are thrilled to be part of this inaugural showcase of exceptional craft and to once again experience the tactility and joy that being surrounded by museum-quality, handcrafted objects can bring.
There will also be a full 3D virtual tour which will run alongside the physical exhibition and a talks programme curated by Grant Gibson which will also be broadcast live online, to allow those unable to travel to join in with this celebration of contemporary craft.
Over the coming weeks we will share more details of the work we have lined up for Artefact at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour but in the meantime, here is a sneak peek of some of the pieces our artists in the throes of finishing as we write.
