This hand built porcelain is inspired by T.S. Eliot’s poem the Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock and the yellow, smoggy, soft October light of old London town.
Mimi's sculptural porcelain pieces are created by using excerpts from a variety of chosen texts. Her current work includes interpretations of T.S.Eliot's poems, chapters from In Watermelon Sugar by the American writer, Richard Brautigan, reflections on the hardest words in our language (Shadows of yes & no series), portraits of writers and an examination of ‘rule breaking’ through the Glass Bead Game by Hermann Hesse.
