The Victoria and Albert Museum acquires new sculpture by Matthew Chambers from Cavaliero Finn at Collect 2019

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Victoria and Albert Museum has added Red Fade Spiral by Matthew Chambers to its permanent Contemporary Ceramics colllection.

 

The purchase was funded thanks to a generous donation made to the museum by Christopher M Gorman-Evans at Cavaliero Finn's stand at Collect 2019.

 

The piece is an outstanding sculpture by Matthew Chambers with a total of 69 individually thrown components inside arranged in groups of three. Each section changes subtly in colour tone as the pattern slowly fades into cream at the centre.
