colourful ceramic objects that celebrate her fascination for ornament
and pattern. Talking about this new work Frances Priest said:
“When Cavaliero Finn asked me to respond to the theme of Verdant I immediately knew I wanted to develop the Stradbroke design from an earlier work, inspired by the rich plant life of Stradbroke Island, Australia.
"Enveloped in a dense array of leaf and floral motifs, I enjoyed getting lost in the drawing of these new works. The rich palette of greens, punctuated with pops of orange, deep blue and coral red feels vibrant and alive. Making these pieces over the dark winter months in Scotland brought a sense of growth and renewal into the studio.”
