The abstract quality of the single word expression is fundamental to Caron’s minimal political statements, which seek to reflect humanity and its fallible qualities. The use of 'gilt' gold yarns in this piece is no trivial decision, being a homophone of the word 'guilt' and perhaps a reflection on the relationship between wealth and power.
