Revisit Cavaliero Finn's presentation at London Art Fair 2025 - The Anonymous Line: Stand G6 - Business Design Centre, Islington, London N1 0QH

22 - 26 January 2025
Overview
Cavaliero Finn was thrilled to present, "The Anonymous Line," at the London Art Fair in January 2025. Inspired by the visionary philosophy of Anni Albers and her Bauhaus-led approach to creating universal, timeless beauty, 'The Anonymous Line' featured a curated selection of abstract paintings, sculpture, textile and ceramic works. These works reflect a commitment to neutrality and timelessness, evoking a beauty not tied to a particular era but rather emerging from the intrinsic qualities of line, colour, shape, and form.

'The more we avoid standing in the way of the material and in the way of tools and machines, the better chance we have that our work will not be dated, will not bear the stamp of too limited a period of time and be old-fashioned someday…And it will outlast fashions only if it embodies lasting, together with transitory, qualities.'  (Anni Albers, 'Design: anonymous and timeless' Magazine of Art vol.40 no.2 February 1947, pp 51-53.)

On show at Cavaliero Finn's stand G6 was work by; painters; Helen Kincaid (new to the Cavaliero Finn portfolio) Joseph Goody, Lavinia Gallie and Mia Cavaliero, textile artists; Katharine Swailes, Caron Penney and Isabel Fletcher, ceramicists; Alice Foxen, Mimi Joung, Nicholas Lees and Matthew Chambers and sculptor Simon Gaiger.

The London Art Fair was held at the Business Design Centre, Islington, N1 0QH and ran from January 22nd-26th with a VIP preview opening on the 21st January 2025.
