Biography
Jaejun Lee is a Korean ceramicist based working in Cardiff.
He studied at the Seoul National University where he completed his bachelor degree in Fine Arts and Masters in Fine Art in Ceramics. Since graduating, Jaejun has exhibited extensively across Korea as well as exhibiting across Europe (UK, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland), gaining international acclaim for his work. He moved to the UK from South Korea in 2018 and is currently working in the UK with an 'Exceptional Talent' visa.
Jaejun specializes in porcelain and makes both artistic vessels and functional wares. The simple form of his vessel makes people concentrate on outer shape and smooth surface. His aim is to communicate a message of functionality and beauty through his work. For him, each object he creates should enrich and enhance the user’s everyday life.
